French Lake → (1) Baptism, and Trouser Lakes, (2) 4km portage into Cache Lake; (3) Cache River; (4) Kawnipi, Shelley, and Keats Lakes; (5) Chatterton, Russell, Sturgeon, and Olifaunt Lakes; (6) Pickerel River, Fern, and Bud Lakes; (7) Beg, Bisk and Pickerel Lakes → French Lake
Notes
This trip was born out of a conversation over the phone with a park attendant from Quetico park. It became one of two lofty adventures through Cache Lake which defined my relationship with one of my closest friends. The Cache River was and still is the most beautiful paddling I have ever done yet the thirty km stretch with approximately fifteen portages is not for the faint of heart or the unprepared.
